Jean Morris Charity Event

Sue and Moira’s fundraiser

The Hospice of the Good Shepherd

Charity 001

It was with great pleasure on Saturday 31st to present a cheque of £100.00 , on behalf of Frodsham Town Council, at the community centre, along with the  Mayor of Frodsham – Fran Sutton – to Sue and Moira who used this event as a synergy to celebrate their 60th Birthdays, which they don’t look a day older then 21, but to remember a friend; Jean Morris. Jean was a biology teacher at Helsby High School who died in October 2013  due to cancer. The Hospice of the Good Shepherd provided much valued palliative care in Jean’s final days. The event was used to raise proceeds for the charity, tickets sold at £15 per person with over 120 people attending – I was impressed with the turn out.  There was a raffle and a live band called Boogie Shack, who were great. The event raised in total £1200 + £1000 will be donated by Barclays for reaching £1000 with donations still pouring in.
